Link-age Dining’s Optimization on Display at Dining Event. Mike Randolph, Director of Dining Solutions

On September 14, Link-age and LeadingAge Ohio held a Dining Event in Columbus, Ohio. At this event, dining professionals from across Ohio gathered to learn more about how Link-age Solutions is executing a food optimization process for its members with a simple goal: Give every member multiple opportunities a year to optimize their ordering and achieve finding the best price and quality without ever having to ask.

At the event, featured speaker Caitlin Abbate from FoodBuy discussed trends in dining along with market expectations. The event featured a number of round table discussions which touched on topics such as food safety, employee retention, resident wants and needs, non-food offers available through FoodBuy, and added values offered through Gordon Food Service and Sysco. The event also featured a vendor food and non-food show with 59 of our great partners. Attendees made great connections and we found enormous value in gathering some of our members and partners for this day of networking, learning, and fun.

We are currently working on matching Link-age contracts in the categories of dairy, bakery, produce and ice cream to see if our members can find better pricing and rebates by moving those contracts to our great partner, FoodBuy. While some members are currently moving to FoodBuy, all members that are using FoodBuy now will enjoy better pricing and rebates.

As Link-age’s Dining Team continues to find optimizations for members, please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself (MRandolph@linkageconnect.com) or Lori Buik (LBuik@linkageconnect.com) to discover how we can tailor your dining program to maximize value and, most importantly, resident satisfaction.
